One thing that Jen and I like to keep in mind when we collaborate is to create projects that are easily customizable for a variety of styles. That's why this DIY Thumbprint Save the Date is the perfect project to share because the possibilities for personalization are practically endless! Choose between two sizespillow cases vintage, add a paper mounting in a style of your choice, pick the colors to match your wedding theme —; I imagine that each couple's take on this project will be so unique that I can't wait to see the results!

For this version, we printed on white stock and mounted on black glitter paper. We matched the thumbprint ink to our hot pink envelopes to tietogether a glam look!

For this version, we printed on cream stock and mounted on kraft paper. We matched the thumbprint ink to our turquoise envelopes to create a more rustic-chic look.

You can also create a postcard design! Here are two examples of a postcard style —; you can use the same color for both of your thumbprints or do two different shades to add in more color.

Hello there! I am finally ready to share with you the much anticipated DIY concrete fireplace tutorial. By way of background, in case you have not already read about it in the post about our family room renovation, let me explain the reason behind this transformation. You know what they say about necessity and invention, right? I found myself looking for something to help organize a pair of thread snips, needles and pins for small hand sewing tasks. Something like my larger scissors case, but smaller and easier to carry. I made a few changes to the original scissors case to create this mini version with needle minder and a handy side pocket. Not only is it super cute, but it’s super quick to make (and makes a great gift for friends that sew!).
