I was contacted by Ashley from Lil Blue Boo several weeks ago to participate in her What Would You Make Challenge.? Ashley sent me, along with 3 other bloggers, some beautiful fabric…….and told us to have at it.? There were no rules really, just freedom to create whatever we wanted.? And oh, how I don’t like to be confined when I sew.? So it was perfect.

The other day I had to send out thank you cards and wasn’t feeling up to heading to the store to buy some, so I did what any logical person would do and made some of my own. I wanted to make a card that would feel totally unique, could be used for pretty much any occasion, and would make me smile if I pulled it out of an envelope – and thus the DIY Clouds and Stars Card was born. Once I figured out my design I was able to make a handful of them in an afternoon. Next time I think I’m going to use this marbling technique for the clouds, what do you think?

We’re getting excited about this Thursday’s Perfect Pour event, so we cornered the unquenchable Michael Kiser to help us wet our pre-party whistle.
